OK I just set up my new blog for my English class 102. Pretty ironic I have to post every week on this blog when I can barely post on my family blog!

Food for thought! The latest news about Massachusetts's voting for a republican Senator and changing the way Congress and the President are shaping the new Health care reform. I posted my thoughts and feelings about that on face book and got a variety of responses from my friends and family. Some were extremely strong opinions.
Here is mine: I am basically a republican but do support democratic and independent views. I follow along the lines of the republicans on this health care reform. At this time when we are so much in debt and our country is in jeopardy I do not think it is time for a major health care reform. We do need a better health care system but does it have to be remade now all of a sudden? Shouldn't we start with one problem and then continue on? If we fix the tort problem in the US, won't that help the system and health care insurance rates? I have been a military brat and wife of an acitve duty member of the Air Force and I get really upset when the government wants to change Veteran's Benefits. After years of service and we keep changing their benefits. What are your thoughts about Senator Brown shaking up Obama's health care plan and now he is changing tactics and trying to go after banks?

  1. I personally am suffering because I do not have planned health care. I want nation wide health care. I could beg for it. Based on his plan, I wouldn't be covered. I am impoverished, and cannot provide for my own. Why am I not included in a national healthcare bill? Oh, yeah, I forgot, I have that super nice clinic down the road. I may not be as impoverished as most, but a universal health care bill better be universal. Thanks for the post.
